PRECINCT 20: DEAD STRANGE
Of all the books I’ve written, it seems only PRECINCT 20: DEAD STRANGE (2018) has received 100% positive reviews. (This goes for both Scandinavian and American readers.) Here’s one:
The book is a collection of stories set in a fictional precinct in an unnamed, large American city (probably in the Northeast or Great Lakes area). Each chapter of the book features a weird, paranormal or unexplainable mystery. (It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I loved The X-Files.)
You can read the entire first story featured in PRECINCT 20: DEAD STRANGE — titled “Sniper, Viper…” — as a free sample on the Amazon site.
DARC AGES Book 1-4
In the 90s, I had the idea to write something like “Star Wars for grownups.” It was conceived as a synopsis for a comic strip. The result, originally released as a Web serial, is the book series DARC AGES.
This story is intended as escapist adventure, of a kind that was once more common. I figured, at first, that DARC AGES was mainly aimed at male readers. It has turned out that many women also enjoyed reading these books. The Swedish edition has received many positive reviews.
The DARC AGES books feature my own interior illustrations.
NOTE: Darc Ages also exists in a Swedish edition, published by Saga Egmont.
THE TIME IDIOT
Written during the G. W. Bush presidency, THE TIME IDIOT is a lighthearted comedy about a dunce who tries to “set history straight” through time travel. I had a lot of fun writing THE TIME IDIOT. If you like absurd humor and the books of Douglas Adams, then this is for you.
THE BOOK OF CRAZY MONSTER STORIES
I wrote and illustrated this book of comical fairytales — with my son as the prime target audience. THE BOOK OF CRAZY MONSTER STORIES is fun for kids, but I think it can make grownups laugh as well.
BLOOD & SWINE: A Comedy of Terrors
I set out to write a vampire novel — but it became something rather peculiar. My version of vampires is… not quite like the others. It’s also a satire of dysfunctional workplaces and “bad bosses”.
You don’t have to like vampire stories to “get” BLOOD & SWINE.
NOTE: This novel also exists in a Swedish edition, published by Saga Egmont.
And there’s more. Much more …
